Violet's Tempest

Violet is feeling fearful about her upcoming performance in the school play, and her loving family – Nan and Uncle Tony and Uncle Sebastian – rally round to help her overcome these feelings. Ian Eagleton's lyrical text perfectly captures Violet’s heavy sadness at the start of the story, as well as the joyful lightness she feels by the end, after her successful performance. This uplifting picture book also portrays a non-traditional family in an inclusive and affectionate manner.
