It’s really, REALLY not fair! Polly only wants to fly like the pigeons, climb a mountain, dig to Australia and paint the house, but Mum says NO! Angie Morgan’s spot-on text perfectly captures a child’s point of view, as Mum’s constant denial of Polly’s ‘reasonable’ requests hurtles her towards a full-blown temper tantrum. The expressive, cartoony artwork with lots of white background is a perfect match for the soft, silly humour of this picture book story, which ends on a reassuring and satisfying note.
