Cosmic Cadets and the Universal Uni-korn

It is Gloria’s first day at the Cosmic Cadets Academy and she is determined to have a space adventure. She is NOT HAPPY when her human habits are disparaged and she is partnered up with Razz, an alien who LOVES to follow the rules. Can Gloria and Razz put their differences aside in time to save the universe from a terrifying uni-korn?

This is a funny, frantic story with dazzling illustrations in dayglo purples, blues and oranges. The world-building is great and the artwork perfectly complements the cosmic setting. Meanwhile, Crawford seamlessly links Gloria’s struggles as the first human at the academy, to her experience of being ‘othered’ as a Black girl on Earth.
