Double Trouble for Anna Hibiscus

Another instalment in the popular semi-autobiographical Anna Hibiscus series. Nigerian born storyteller Atinuke perfectly captures Anna’s gamut of emotions and trepidation at the arrival of her twin brothers. Complemented by Tobia’s tender illustrations, which cleverly contrast vibrancy with Anna’s solitary pondering white space, it evokes characterisation and warmth. Beautifully empathetic.
